Research Advances on Artificial Intelligence and Robotics in Indian Agriculture, is a portfolio of technologies across that are a true blend of frontier digital technologies focussed at making Indian agriculture futureproof aligned with the national priorities of Digital India, Atmanirbhar Bharat, and Viksit Bharat @2047. Embodied in this compendium are innovative applications of AI/ML technologies and robotics for, shouldering pre and post-production farm mechanization from conventional machinery toward intelligent, autonomous and data-driven systems that are efficient, safe, and cost effective; relaying conventional crop protection and pest management to a more data driven approach; inculcating adaptive use of bioinformatics softwares and computation techniques for effective genomic research; solutions for spatial and temporal complexity of soil – water - crop interactions; carrying out data-driven crop improvement and agroclimatic assessment for devising strategies to create support network for informed decision-making of farm level; rapid transformation of aquatic health management with the integration of smart technologies; shifting animal health management and veterinary research to intelligent, non-invasive, and data-driven solutions for long-standing challenges of livestock production and management.
